What We’re Watching Saturday: Miami and Ohio State on the Road, Florida-Georgia and a Bama Hat on the Line

What we're watching Saturday: Florida vs. Georgia, Ohio State at USC and Miami at North Carolina

Halloween Saturday is stacked: No. 1 Miami and No. 2 Ohio State both on the road at night, Florida-Georgia in Atlanta, and the Bama Hat Guarantee on the line in Cincinnati. Here’s what we’re watching. All times Central.

  1. No. 22 Arizona (6-1) at No. 13 Texas Tech (6-1), 11 a.m., ESPN. Two 6-1 teams before lunch. Arizona has the buzz this week, which is exactly why I’m on the other side. Our pick: Texas Tech -4.
  2. No. 17 Florida (5-2) vs. No. 3 Georgia (6-1), 2:30 p.m., ABC (Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta). Florida already won in Austin this year. Georgia is laying 12.5. If the Gators keep it inside two scores in the second half, the whole country is flipping over to this one.
  3. No. 6 Utah (7-0) at Cincinnati (5-2), 2:45 p.m., ESPN. The unbeaten Utes on the road against a home dog everyone loves. This is the Bama Hat Guarantee. If Utah doesn’t cover, I’m wearing crimson on camera. Our pick: Utah -6.5.
  4. No. 2 Ohio State (6-1) at USC (6-2), 6:30 p.m., NBC. The Coliseum at night on Halloween. That’s a treat. The public likes the Trojans at home. I don’t. Our pick: Ohio State -7.
  5. No. 1 Miami (7-0) at North Carolina (4-3), 6:30 p.m., ABC. The No. 1 team in the country on the road against a .500-ish team at night. These are the games that end perfect seasons. I don’t think it happens, but I’m watching every snap.

The rest of our card: Duke -7.5 vs. Boston College (11 a.m., The CW), SMU -9.5 at Syracuse (11 a.m., ESPN2), and the Fade, Indiana -19.5 vs. Minnesota (2:30 p.m., CBS), where 88% of the bets were on the Gophers when I wrote it. Full reasoning is in this week’s college Five and a Fade. Lines are as of when the column was written.

Tennessee is off this week. Rest up. Kentucky comes to Neyland next Saturday.

Missed Friday night? Baylor rolled UCF, Tulane won in overtime and the Rockets finally lost.
