Wednesday’s slate: the Thunder put their perfect start on the line in Dallas, the 4-0 Rockets visit Milwaukee, and the World Series might have one more game in it. All times Central.
- World Series Game 5, if needed: Brewers at Rays, 7 p.m., Fox. Milwaukee leads 3-0, and Game 4 was tied 2-2 in the 11th inning when this went up. If the Brewers finish it tonight, they’re champions and the night is all NBA. If Tampa Bay forces a Game 5, the pressure flips: nobody wants to be the 103-win team that let a 3-0 lead get interesting.
- Thunder (4-0) at Mavericks (2-2), 8:30 p.m., ESPN. The best game on the board. Oklahoma City hasn’t lost yet. I’m not betting against them until somebody makes me.
- Rockets (4-0) at Bucks (1-3), 7 p.m. Houston hasn’t lost yet either. Milwaukee needs this one a lot more than the Rockets do.
- 76ers (3-1) at Pacers (2-2), 6 p.m., ESPN. The early national game. Philly has looked like a real team for a week. Let’s see it on the road.
- Lakers at Clippers, 9:30 p.m. The Lakers came into tonight 3-0 and play Portland as this posts. A late-night battle for L.A. to close it out.
- Kennesaw State (1-6) at Middle Tennessee (4-3), 6 p.m., CBSSN. Midweek college football in Murfreesboro. The Blue Raiders should handle it at home.
