Steelers and Jaguars Cash, Our Jets Fade Falls Short: How Our Early NFL Picks Did

The Steelers and Jaguars took care of business for us on Sunday. The Jets and Vikings did not, and our NFL Fade went down to the final minute. Here’s how the early window went.

✅ Steelers -3.5: Steelers 27, Browns 6. Pittsburgh at home in a division game, just like we said. Jaylen Warren ran for 143 yards and a touchdown, T.J. Watt had two sacks, and Cleveland never reached the end zone. Deshaun Watson threw for 324 yards and none of it mattered. LET’S GO.

✅ Jaguars -7.5: Jaguars 42, Colts 7. This one was over early. Trevor Lawrence went 10-for-14 for 210 yards and three touchdowns, and Bhayshul Tuten scored on the ground and through the air. Indianapolis has now lost four straight. Easiest cover of the week.

❌ Jets +1.5 (our NFL Fade): Raiders 38, Jets 33. Brutal. The Jets led 30-28 after three quarters, Braelon Allen ran for 147 yards and Adonai Mitchell caught seven for 142. Then Kirk Cousins hit Jalen Nailor for the go-ahead score, and Matt Gay put it away with a 53-yard field goal with 27 seconds left. Brock Bowers caught two touchdowns. The crowd was right this time. We’ll get ’em next week.

❌ Vikings +3: Lions 19, Vikings 15. Minnesota’s perfect season is over, and we lost by a single point against the number. The Vikings pulled within one on a T.J. Hockenson touchdown and a two-point conversion, then Jared Goff found Jameson Williams for a 7-yard score with 4:35 left. Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 153 yards. Detroit covered by one. Of course it did.

Still going: Bengals -10 vs. Titans. That one isn’t covering, and around here nobody’s upset about it. Cam Ward and the 1-6 Titans led Cincinnati 36-29 late in the fourth quarter. Titan Up.

Next up: Chiefs -1.5 at Denver for first place in the AFC West. Follow along live on X @fiveandafade. Every result goes on the record.
