The Buffalo Bills beat the Baltimore Ravens 36-10 on Sunday in Buffalo, and it wasn’t that close. The Bills are 6-1. I’m ready to say it: they’re the team to beat in the AFC.
Start with the defense. Baltimore finished with 144 total yards, 10 first downs and three turnovers, per ESPN’s box score. The Ravens threw for 68 net yards. Joe Fagnano went 10 of 21 for 91 yards with an interception. Derrick Henry scored Baltimore’s only touchdown on a 2-yard run in the first quarter, and that was about it.
Josh Allen did Josh Allen things: 21 of 34 for 289 yards, two touchdown passes and a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. James Cook ran for 80 yards and a score, and Dalton Kincaid caught four balls for 86 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown that made it 36-10 with 5:58 left. Tyler Bass hit field goals from 56, 22 and 51.
How it was decided: it was 16-10 early in the third quarter after a Ravens field goal. Then Cook scored from 5 yards out, Allen hit DJ Moore for an 11-yard touchdown early in the fourth, and Baltimore never got close again.
The Ravens fall to 4-4. Buffalo outgained them 426 to 144. When one team triples the other in yards, you don’t need a film session.
