Week 9 of college football blew up the top of the polls. Five ranked teams lost to unranked teams on Saturday, all five on the road, including No. 2 BYU in double overtime at UCF. So here’s our own Top 10, built from the results, not the polls.
The Five and a Fade Top 10 after Week 9
- Miami (7-0): hung 52 on Pitt. Malachi Toney caught 16 passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns.
- Ohio State (6-1)
- UCLA (7-0): still unbeaten. This is the one that’s going to start arguments.
- Utah (7-0)
- Georgia (6-1)
- Indiana (7-1)
- Notre Dame (6-1)
- Kentucky (7-1): yes, Kentucky. Seven wins is seven wins.
- BYU (6-1): dropped after losing 39-31 in 2OT at UCF, but one loss in double overtime on the road doesn’t erase six wins.
