Chiefs vs. Seahawks Live: We Need Kansas City +2.5 on SNF

Live updates from Sunday Night Football. We took the Kansas City Chiefs +2.5 at Seattle. Translation: we win if the Chiefs win outright or lose by two or fewer. One cover on the day so far (thank you, Denver), and we’d love to end this Sunday with two.

Updates

  • 3rd quarter, 1:42: Seahawks 13, Chiefs 3. Kansas City finally scores: Harrison Butker hit a 50-yard field goal after a Patrick Mahomes sack and fumble that Kansas City kept, stalling the drive at the Seattle 32. Down 10, we need the Chiefs to outscore Seattle by eight the rest of the way. Chip away, KC.
  • 3rd quarter, 8:09: Seahawks 13, Chiefs 0. The Kansas City defense held Seattle to a 35-yard Jason Myers field goal after the Seahawks got as close as the KC 6. Down 13, we need the Chiefs to outscore Seattle by 11 the rest of the way. Still a quarter and a half to go. Come on, KC.
  • Halftime: Seahawks 10, Chiefs 0. Nohl Williams picked off Sam Darnold in the end zone with seven seconds left to keep Seattle from adding more, but Harrison Butker’s 58-yard try at the horn came up short. We’re not covering at the break: the Chiefs need to outscore Seattle by eight in the second half. Thirty minutes left. Let’s go, KC.
  • 2nd quarter, 0:34: Seahawks 10, Chiefs 0. Sam Darnold hit Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a 28-yard touchdown, and Seattle is back in Kansas City territory at the KC 30 before the half. Down 10, we need the Chiefs to clamp down here and come out swinging in the second half. Hold the line, KC.
  • 2nd quarter, 1:54: Seahawks 3, Chiefs 0. Seattle is driving, facing third-and-9 at the Kansas City 28 before the half. Another Seahawks score would push us further from the number, so this is a big stop for the Chiefs defense. Hold them, KC.
  • 2nd quarter, 6:00: Seahawks 3, Chiefs 0. A 25-yard Jason Myers field goal is the only score so far in a defensive slog. At minus-3 we’re on the wrong side of the number right now, so the Chiefs need to find some points before halftime. Come on, KC.
